Basilicum (Ocimum basilicum in het Latijn) is een plant die 20 tot 60 cm hoog kan worden donkergroene bladeren. Hij maakt deel uit van de labiaceae-familie. Er zijn bijna 150 soorten basilicum. Deze plant komt oorspronkelijk uit India en China en is verspreid in het Middellandse-Zeebekken. Het is ook aanwezig in warme streken over de hele wereld. De essentiële olie (HE) van basilicum wordt verkregen door distillatie van luchtplanten, d.w.z. bladeren en bloeiende toppen. De kleur is oranje geel. Het verspreidt een frisse en kruidachtige geur.

Tropische basilicum essentiële olie 100% puur en natuurlijk.

Uitwendig gebruik (verdunning noodzakelijk 0,5%): op de solar plexus tegen spijsverteringsstoornissen. Langs de ruggengraat tegen vermoeidheid en stress. Gebruik in diffusie: voor atmosferische desinfectie. Een paar druppels op een zakdoek tegen reisziekte. VOORZORGSMAATREGELEN: essentiële olie kan de huid irriteren. Zeer verdund te gebruiken (0,5%).

Buiten het bereik van kinderen houden. Vermijd direct of indirect contact met de ogen. Niet gebruiken bij zwangere vrouwen of vrouwen die borstvoeding geven en bij kinderen jonger dan 3 jaar. Vermijd licht en hitte.
